Weekend Khaki

This Weekends Outfit...

hey lovelies! I picked up this amaaaazing two piece for this weekend, It is so comfy and slinky and really easy to wear, I just had to share it with you all.

The one downfall is that the means you can't wear a bra as you can see the middle where it meets, other than that, I abso loved wearing it and can't wait to wear it again already!

KHAKI- I'm really loving this colour at the mo, its very military and masculine but oozes femininity at the same time.

p.s please don't look at my half decorated house!

The best thing about it is it can be worn together or separately  the top with a pair of high waisted trousers or the skirt with a cute black crop.

So, Where from!? It was £25.00 from here!
grab yours now while you can!

Review of Elf baked blush in Peachy Cheeky

Happy Monday everyone!πŸ’•
Is anyone else abit sluggish like me this morning? I couldn't get out of bed this morning πŸ˜”

As always the postman bought me a treat into work to cheer me up a little and today it was Elf's baked blusher in shade 'Peachy Cheeky'. I have admired this for a while and have finally decided to buy it.

ELF stands for Eyes Lips face and there pricing is exrememly reasonable!! This blush cost me £4.50! Pretty good Ey!
E.L.F. is a hit or miss adventure but when you do find a hit it’s like winning the beauty lottery!!!

First of all I don't really think these should be labelled as blushes. The majority of them look more like highlighters and they all have a glowing sheen to them so I don't think they can really work as a blush as it doesn't have enough colour pigment in.

However these are easily some of the best highlighters I own and I have tried alot of highlighters including MAC and Charlotte Tilbury! I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a highlighter shade instead of a blush unless you like your blusher without any depth!

I look forward to trying the other shades in this range πŸ˜„

All in all They have done a good job with these Baked Blushes and they should fit your needs if you don’t have the money to shell out for a MAC Mineralize Skin-finish.
Here is a swatch on the back of my hand of the colour, you can see here it's quite shimmery.

Have you tried any elf? What have you hit the beauty jackpot with?

Charlotte Tilbury Contour Kit

Charlotte Tilbury Contour Kit

WOW! This contour kit is so good.

I have had this set for quite a while so I think it's time to review it!This is amazing!! Probably one of the best sets on the market.

Firstly, the packaging. It's BEAUTIFUL and makes you feel totally glamourous when you whip it out of your bag. The two best things about this product are the colors, and then the formulation of the product itself.

I have the Light to Medium version (Medium to Dark is now available...may have to get it for summer time). The bronzer is the perfect shade of bronze. It isn't too orange, brown, red, or pink. I have used it with a heavier hand to sculpt my face and also with a lighter hand as a bronzer to warm up my cheeks and it does both of these with aplomb. It also looks great with a rose or peach colored blush layered on top. The highlighter isn't gold, there is some iridescence and perhaps a hint of light peach mixed in, making it multi tonal and creates a beautiful glow on every skin. There isn't any glitter, just a nice sheen and glow.

The formula of it is powder but isn't "powdery" - it's creamy and buttery. The texture reminds me a lot of eye shadows. Both the bronzer and the highlighter colours in this set can be used as eyeshadow.

I've had this set for about 3 months now but still have alot of product left. I think I paid about £50 for it but this is a good deal to me since I will likely never hit pan (although I would buy this again in a heartbeat if I did). Highly recommend this set, and other Charlotte Tilbury makeup as they are a high-end makeup company that does not test on animals, yay!!

Glo mineral lash thickener and conditioner

Glo minerals lash thickener and conditioner

What it is:
Treat and nourish your way to thicker, longer and softer lashes.

What it's used for:
gloLash Thickener and Conditioner is a nutrient-rich base that wraps the lashes in a conditioning, vitamin-rich formulation. Botanical waxes, green tea leaf extract and vitamins nourish, protect and condition the lashes, helping them to grow longer, thicker and healthier.  Use prior to gloLach Lengthening Mascara for a defined finish.
This stuff is amazing!

I saw my mum the other day and wondered how her lashes were so thick and full and this Is what she had been using.

It does exactly what it says on the tin which is thicken's, seperates and lifts lashes. It goes on white and then you apply your mascara over the top, it's abit like a primer. It's full of vitamins to keep your lashes healthy. There is no itchiness or flaking, making it comfortable to wear. When applied under mascara, your mascara not only goes on smoother but comes off with one wipe. Even when you take off your mascara lashes look fuller and thicker, you feel like you haven't washed off all of your makeup! I've noticed a difference in my mascara also. I usually get one eye that behaves itself and one eye that they all just clump together and that's that. With this they are all seperated and lifted.
I personally hate false eyelashes so finding something like this is a great alternative. I can't be dealing with them falling off all the time and I don't like to see the join line.

The price is not bad at all at just £9.90 and £3.73 delivery from Amazon! Get yours here!

This pic is one coat of thickener and one coat of mascara.

My Charlotte Tilbury Experience!

My Charlotte Tilbury Experience!
On Friday It was my birthday and my lovely boyfriend treated me to having my makeup done at the Charlotte Tilbury counter in Selfridges.

Charlotte Tilbury has 10 signature looks to choose from when you have your makeup done.

The Rebel
The Golden Goddess
The Ingene
The Uptown Girl
The Sophisticate
The Rock Chick
The Dolce Vita
The Bombshell
The Vintage Vamp
The Glamour Muse

I'd done some research before I went as I wanted a rough idea of what I'd like done. I was torn between the Dolce Vita & The Bombshell. The lips on the Bombshell really grabbed me.
In the end after some guidance from the makeup artist I went for the Dolce Vita. I explained I didn't wear foundation on a daily basis and had been to MAC previously and been unhappy with the results as i felt like a dressed up christmas tree, just too much. They insist on applying fake eyelashes and things that just arent you!

THE DOLCE VITA

ULTRA FEMININE AND UTTERLY ALLURING, THE DOLCE VITA PLAYS THE MUSE FOR VERY GOOD REASON. HER LOOK IS ALL ABOUT UNBRIDLED GLAMOUR: SEDUCTIVE LIPS, CHISELLED CHEEKS AND A SMOULDERING STARE.

First she prepped my skin with their Wonder glow primer. This was so lightweight and felt lovely on my skin. This creates the illusion of youthful, healthy skin that is hydrated and effervescent. It can be used underneath foundation or on its own for effortless looking skin It retails at £38.50 You can get it here!
Next she applied there Magic Foundation with a brush, A brand new full coverage foundation that morphs to your face in a weightless texture, for a perfect second skin that lasts all day. It comes in 15 different shades and retails at £29.50 here.
Eyeshadow was next! She used an amazing palette of 4 colours.
The champagne, brown, umber and bronze 'Dolce Vita' shades in Charlotte Tilbury's eyeshadow palette are designed to harmonize with each other and suit any skin tone. She created a smooth base with the 'Prime' shade, built up definition with the 'Enhance' color, then added definition and drama for evening with the highly pigmented 'Smoke' and 'Pop' shades. This kit retails at £38.00. You can get yours here

She then filled in my brows with their 3 way lift, shade and shape tool. I don't usually get on with eyebrow pencils but this one was quite nice and did not create any harsh lines. This retails at £22.50. Get yours here.

My favourite part now, The Charlotte Tilbury Highlight and contour compact called Filmstar bronze and glow. This is AMAZING. You can slim, sculpt, shorten, trim and highlight your features. She used the dark on my cheek hollows, temples, jaw line and the sides and tip on my nose. The lighter on the top of my cheek bones, centre of nose, bow of lips and brow bone. I was so pleased with how this product worked I bought one myself. These sets retail at £49.00 here.

Lash time! Charlotte Tilbury's Full Fat lashes mascara. This promises curl, seperation, volume, legnth and drama. I wasn't overly impressed with the mascara as I like my lashes to look really seperate and long and this seemed to clump mine up therefore making them look shorter, I'd like to try it myself to see what it's like when used yourself. This is £22.00 from their website.

Last but not least, my lips, I'm not sure on the shade of lip liner she used, but the lipstick was called bond girl. The colour was lovely and stayed on all night until I went to bed! This is £23.00 online.

HOW WAS IT!? 10\10.

Overall I was so pleased with the look, I felt like she really listened to what I was after and what I didn't like. I felt as though I had makeup on, but still felt really natural. I really didn't want to take it off at bedtime, but you know these things have to be done. I will certainly be going back to try the other looks. It was £35.00 to have your make -up done but that was redeemable against products, which was great but I wanted the lot! You can buy it all, but thats £165! I'll be asking Father
Christmas for that this year I think.. haha.

Here are some photos of my finished look. The first two pictures are as soon as I got back to the hotel after I'd had it done and the other two are just before bed a few drinkies later! You can see how well the eyeshadow has lasted.

Have any of you girls been and had a CT makeover? I'd love to know which look you went for and what your fave products are!

babyliss heated rollers

Babyliss heated rollers, my new best friend.

This set has 20 large, medium and small, soft-to-the-touch, thermo-ceramic rollers that, give a smooth, shiny finish. The rollers line up on horizontal heated bars within the case, so they are easy to store.

It was difficult to source them as most of the heated rollers these days aren't smooth on the roller they have grips, where as these have velvet on which I feel keeps those stray straight ends at bay!

If your quick, there on offer at the moment in Debehnhams for £12.00!
http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_325007016860_-1

These rollers are so easy to use, you just plug them in, wait for them to heat up, and put them where you want them. I like to do it in 3 layers so that it looks quite bouncy.

These rollers come with crocodile clips and silver pins for fastening the rollers, I prefer the crocodile clips.

There are tonnes of different ways you can put them in for example you can apply them going forwards of backwards, forwards for more of a flick, and outwards away from the head for more of a curl. Its so much quicker than having to curl all your hair,

I like to put them in and then do my makeup while they are in then voila! They are also a great idea when you have a few hours to get ready as you can leave the in for as long as you like and your hair won't burn as they will cool in your hair!

They give a smoother look compared to straightener curls and I'd say more of a wave/flick. Here are some photo's where I have used them.
