Hair care this month!

My favourite hair care products this month!

So here is a quick post on my favourite hair products this month. The best part is neither of them break the bank! yay!

I recently discovered this little gem. Umberto Giannini Massive hair mousse. It gives your roots a lift like never before! My hair is so flat on top as I have fine straight hair and It's really hard to get some root lift. Apply a generous amount to clean, damp hair and squeeze into roots and mid lengths of hair. Honestly try it, you won't be disappointed. You can buy it here. At the moment you can save a third on hair care so this little baby is only £4.00 at the moment ! http://www.boots.com/en/Umberto-Giannini-Glam-Hair-Massive-mousse_1104348/

My other favourite for this month is Boots Coconut and Almond Leave in conditioner. This is for Normal to dry hair. Firstly with extracts of coconut and almond, the smell of this product is divine! I love coconut and to have it on my hair is
a bonus! apply again to clean damp hair and spray on the mid lengths and ends. This is great for fine hair to give it the soft feel but without weighing it down. You can buy this here for only £1.49! http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Ingredients-Coconut-Almond-Leave-In-Conditioner-150ml_863451/

have you tried any of these? what are your favs this month? comment and let me know! <3

Seventeen Skin WOW tan liquid

Morning everyone! I'm all confused this morning after the bank holiday as it feels like a Monday but it's actually Tuesday!
I wanted to share a little something with you all that I have been using for a while.

I recently purchased Seventeen's Skin WOW tan liquid from Boots at just £5.99.

I'm loving quite a few of 'Seventeen's products at the moment, especially their dolled up mascara!!
This product is lovely, the consistancy of it is just right and it can be used in a few different ways.

You can mix this product with your moisturiser or your foundation to give your skin a little 'pick me up'. You can even apply it directly to your cheeks as a contour to make your cheek bones pop OR as a highlighter on top of your blusher!

The possibilities are endless! I'll probably be wearing this all over in the summer on holidays.

The colour of the bottle is a it off putting I must say it looks very dark but it is very build able. You can wear as much or as little as you like.

It's a very creamy product which makes it really easy to use and spread around. Also you don't need much as a little goes A long way!

Have you used this? How did you get on? Xxxx

Summer Abs

I don't know about you but my holiday is in 3 weeks, 3 weeks!? my body is defo not ready for that yet!!

It's time to work my socks off for a few weeks.

Here is a short blog of some of my favourite exercises for you.

Grab yourself a yoga mat, because doing these on the carpet really can burn your knees and palms! These exercises are for both your bum, ab's and legs, these are my main focus points.

A few of my favourites are:

plank for 30 seconds,
15 sit ups,
15 crunches
50 squats.
15 leg raises (each leg),
15 burpees,
30 seconds of vertical toe touches,
30 donkey kicks on each leg.

These exercises really make you feel the burn the next morning and sometimes instantly. Personally I like to feel this as It means it's  really working, some people like to stretch it out after a workout so that It doesn't hurt as much in the morning.

There is a channel on Youtube called Fitness Blender which is amazing, it's all free workouts that you can do In the comfort of your own home and boy do they burn. Some you need equipment for and others you just need your body.

Here is the link to the page :FitnessBlender

My favourites from their page are:

10 Min Abs Workout -- At Home Abdominal and Oblique Exercises :
http://youtu.be/1919eTCoESo
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1919eTCoESo

This one is really good for toning your ab's and feeling the burn.

5 minute Butt and thigh workout for a bigger butt:

boy does this one hurt! ouch! each time I finish this one i say 'never again' but It's so worth it, after all you know what they say 'no pain, no gain!'

Also, I've switched from fizzy drinks and plain water to fruit water. I fill bottles with fruit and leave them in the fridge overnight. I will be blogging about that soon.

Thanks for reading!

whats your favourite? let me know!xxx

WOLRD IBD DAY

Hey my lovely's! :)

This post is to raise awareness and support for the 300,000 people in the UK and millions more worldwide living with Crohn’s Disease or Ulcerative Colitis.

So, Tomorrow is WORLD IBD DAY!
what's this? -lets get technical.

IBD stands for Inflammatory Bowel Disease. The two most common forms of this are Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis.

In both UC and Crohn's, parts of the digestive system (the gut), which includes the intestines or 'bowels', become sore and inflamed. Crohn's can affect any part of the digestive system from the mouth to the anus. There isn't a cure at the moment but a lot can be done with medication and surgery to help keep symptoms under control and to reduce the chance of a flare-up.

I've known someone for a long time who suffers from this and have been aware of her struggle and hopefully, have supported her throughout. It's moving to see  this so close to home and it's hard to ignore.

It only takes a second to take a selfie and donate to such a worthwhile cause. It would mean the world to a lot of people who have suffered in silence with this disease. So take your selfies with your signs, tag friends, and remember to donate!! I'm wearing purple on Tuesday, and hopefully you all will be too!

So come on,

Put your purple top on,

Take a selfie with your sign and tag it with # CCUK and # WORLDIBDDAY
and most importantly...

Text: PURP19 £( and your amount) to 70070

visit  www.crohnsandcolitis.org.uk/get-involved/world-ibd-day for more information and don't forget to wear PURPLE tomorrow !

Quick and easy loose waves

🌊Loose waves! 🌊

Here is a quick tutorial on how to get these glam loose waves, in just minutes.
I love this look as it's not as 'done' as the straightener curls look.

This is the tool I'm using to create this look. The Babyliss Pro Classic Hair Conical Tong 32mm-19mm.

Here are some of the features of this wand:

  • This wand allows you to create a number of different curls.
  • The 25 heat settings give you versatility and make the tong ideal for all hair types and thicknesses.
  • Separate on/off switch Indicator lights
  • Includes Free Protective black heat glove & Matt
  • The salon length swivel-cord prevents tangles too!

The top of the barrel is the smallest part at just 19mm, to create tighter curls, and the bottom is 32mm to create a more looser, lived in wave. The very top of the wand has a protective nib so that you can hold it without burning yourself.

The one disadvantage about this wand is that it does get particularly hot when on the hottest setting.(25)

  • grabbing large sections of hair, I like to divide my hair into 6 parts, 3 per side.
  • take one of your sections and apply the wand pointing downward, so that your ends would go on the smallest part of the barrell.
  • you can keep the wand horizontal, this creates more of a wave when taken out as apprised to a curl. Doing it this way means you can control more which part of the barrell your hair goes on.
  • repeat all the way through your hair, going over any that don't turn out how you'd hoped.
  • pull your hands through your hair and shake your head about abit to loosen up the curls.
  • spray with hairspray, salt spray or apply your favourite texturiser.
  • you'll find throughout the day your curls loosen. I tend to prefer mine on the second day when they are really 'lived in'.

In this picture I have simply pulled back my top layer into a loose low ponytail and secured with a thin bobble. I then took a piece of hair and wrapped it around the bobble to make a more 'knotted' look. I applied some salt spray my hair and brushed the waves out with a large paddle brush so they are not so set.

Have you recreated got his look, let me know how you got on!

Cream Contour kit!

So this beauty came in the post to me today.
God l love the post man 😍

Contour  kits are EVERYWHERE at the moment. They are soooo fabulous and can really make a noticeable difference to your face.  I've previously used a few kits including the sleek contour kit which after using this is actually quite hard to blend in. It can sometimes leave lines on your face so I decided it was time to try a cream based kit. Thats when I found this baby! An absolute steal on E bay for £3.99! Yep thats right £3.99! and FREE postage. I was shocked too.  At this price I was quite sceptical of how good this product was going to be, I wondered how long it would stop on my face and how they would look when applied. I must say I am pleasantly surprised, It's fab! There is 15  different shades in this case, each the same size and a similar size to a MAC eyeshadow. There are 13 contouring shades and 2 that are correctors. The licac shade is to help any discolouration in your face, and the green for any redness.

so go go go girls and grab these while you still can,  well worth the money.

get yours here. They are almost gone on Ebay from this certain seller. OOh!! I forgot to mention they give you a gorgeous flat angled brush to use also, although I haven't tried that yet.

happy contouring!

if you'd like to see any of my other posts on contouring and how i apply the sleek contouring kit check out my other posts here  and here !

comments welcome, have you got one? what do you think of it?

thanks for reading

Just a quick one..

So yesterday I went to Matalan!

There was loads of lovely things in there including these shoes I picked up for £10! I've seen a lot of people wearing this kind of shoe but have never tried them myself. I wore them to work today and they are so comfy. They are very versatile and can be worn with both leggings and jean's, both my go to's! I would recommend these no end for comfort and style.
