Little Holiday Haul!

HAPPY WEDNESDAY! even if it is raining, I'm buying bikini's and summery things! :)

Hey beauty's! hope your all ok.. Thought I would show you a few bits I picked up today at the shops!

I am so so SO excited that Boots have bought out NYX cosmetics YES! I spent a good 15 minutes mooching round the stall thinking how great it was and what to try!:') I have only ever tired a lip cream from here a while back so i knew they were good!

I picked up one of those in shade Stockholm,a liquid highlgihter born to glow in shade Beam. I get discount at boots so they came £10.50 but i think the Lip tint was £5.50? and the highlighter £7.00? don't  quote me as I can't find the receipt! haha anyway super excited to try these will keep you updated!

Some super cute candles from H&M for my holiday! I love tan and tassels,so when I saw them both together on a shoe... I was in love instantly! These were £14.99 but I had a return voucher for £15 so technically they were free! ;)

OK for the bargain of the day. This bikini from H&M is £3.99 for each part! amazing huh! I thought so. £7.98 for a bikini! Yes please!  They also had it in black I was torn between them both but at that price If I like this one I will certainly be going back to pick up the black one!

Lastly, I picked up this cute house decoration that reads 'Dream until your dreams come true'.
I felt this was pretty apt as I passed my driving test on Monday and Ive been driving on and off for so long and I finally did it! So feeling super proud and this little memo caught my eye and I thought it was sweet. It was only 99p so I picked it up!

Hope you enjoy!

Biore Charcoal pore strips!

Biore Charcoal pore strips!

Now this one is pretty gross but I have to tell you about it!

A friend told me about these Biore charcoal pore strips so I had to try them out! I got them from Boots for £7.99 which is quite steep I must say, you do get six in a box which is good as that makes them just over a pound for each one.

They come in a black packet individually wrapped and you have to take it off and split the sides that have been pre cut to make it a nice fit around your nose. You have to leave it on for 10-15 minutes and the strip goes hard and you then peel it off. Warning! It does get petty stuck to your skin so peel it off carefully as it can hurt!

I used one and my boyfriend used one too, mine was clean with only a few on but Jacob's was great ! These are so satisfying and they really do work. They leave your nose feeling really fresh and you can even see your blackheads on the strip ( nice!)  They are good to get those hard to reach ones that you just can't get!

Would defo recommend these to anyone!!

FLAWLESS Revolution Eyeshadow Palette

I must tell you all about this fabulous little palette I have found.

The brand 'Revolution' has taken the makeup industry by storm in the past few months and I can see why! All of their products I have tried so far have been amazing, stay tuned for my next blog post on their contour and highlighting kit!

This Eyeshadow palette comes in beautiful rose gold packaging, which was what really caught my eye. It also has a mirror running along the full length of the palette which is what I look for when choosing eye palettes.

The exterior has a black glossy finish to it which makes it easy to wipe clean after use. It also has a snap shut function on the front so there is no risk of leaving it open and spoiling your eyeshadows.

It has 32 different eyeshadow colours with different textures to each one, some matte, ideal for bases and others metallic/sparkly.
The colours are a great variety including day and night shades which means its great for the week and weekends and there is no need to carry multiple eye shadows in your bag!

As you can see by the usage on this i love the Copper Shimmer shade in this palette. It's a lovely copper colour and being blue/green eyed i like to use this to make my eyes stand out. Im excited to try the rest, Red night looks like it could be lovely with a black smokey eye.

Here is a look I have created with this palette using colours, paper (top left) , highlight (top row, 4th in), Copper shimmer (3rd row, 4th in).

Now, where to get it and the price! I picked this up in my local Superdrug shop for drum roll please .... £8! You can't go wrong with this girls, the pigment's in the shadows are amazing, I would say it is on par if not better than the Naked palette's!!

Have you tried any of the revolution eye palettes?

until next time

KIKO ultimate pen

Welcome back to my page,

Today I wanted to share my recent find with you, It is the KIKO ultimate pen, long lasting black eyeliner.

If you are anything like me liquid eyeliner scares me! Infact I'm rubbish at it, so this tip make the whole experience 10 times easier. I love this and I can tell I will use this as an everyday/handbag liquid liner when your out and about and doing things, The design of the pen makes it so effortless to use and easy to make many different kinds of thick/thin liner styles. The tip is like a Berol felt tip, it bends with your pressure and it is easy to build so you can apply  much or as little as you like.

I Especially love the shape of the grip on the pen where you would usually hold it while applying the liner. The liner stays put for about 5\6 hours then it does start to smudge but nothing major.

They sell this in the KIKO stores for £6.90 which I don't think is too bad & they often have deals on, yesterday I picked one up for £4.00, thank you very much :)

Whats your favourite liquid eyeliner?

January lip faves

Here are some of my favourite January lip colours!

πŸ‘„Kinda sexy MACπŸ‘„
My latest addition to my collection. Bloody gorgeous! A neutral pinky rose with a Matte finish. To me this is an Angelina Jolie lip colour, it makes my lips appear plumper and fuller. Texture wise, as a matte - it's kinda high maintenance. You need to prep those lips by exfoliating and applying lipbalm to fix the issue of patchy lips. It's creamy and glides like butter, but a bit drying after a while, still LOVE it though!

πŸ‘„Velvet Teddy MACπŸ‘„-
My everyday go to lippy. This lipstick always seems to be sold out but luckily I managed to get my hands on one a while ago and I love it. A great every day nude that can be worn over a lipliner or without. Suits my olive/ish  skintone perfectly and looks so elegant and chic. Also matte finish so can be slightly drying so prep those lips well!

πŸ‘„Bitch perfect Charlotte TilburyπŸ‘„- Well I was bought this little gem for Christmas. Charlotte's lipstick range K.I.S.S.I.N.G are supposed to give a rich full colour, luminous finish and keep your lips smooth and hydrated. It is an opaque finish with a satin shine on it, making your  lips appear fuller. They also have a slight vanilla scent to them πŸ’•πŸ’•

All 3 lipsticks are pretty similar in colour with Velvet Teddy being the darkest. I Love them all, What are your January favourties? Xxx

Urban decay setting spray!

Hi girlies!

For Christmas my lovely boyfriend got me the Urban Decay all nighter setting spray.

This spray is the holy grail !!
If your like me when you do your makeup and go out somewhere your face slowly slides off you leaving with creases under your eyes and looking bedraggled, this for me is due to my oily skin, so when I saw this it was a must to try!

If I had known about this before it would have solved so many problems! I went out for new year and sprayed this on my face at about 8.30 and usually by about 1am in the club toilet your face has slid off and you have to redo it as best you can. There was no need to redo anything including my lip liner, it was all still in place, amazing!

This product is quite pricey but it sure is worth it, it's £21.00. You only need a few sprays so I can see it lasting a long time.

If you don't listen to me expect to receive this as a birthday/ Christmas present because I just know you will love it!

Have you tried it before?

Brush wash!

Time to wash the brushes!

If any of you are like me cleaning makeup brushes doesn't sound like the most appealing job but I can't stress how important it is, I can't stand it when your brushes get clogged full of makeup, just think of all the oil and bacteria that starts to build up inside the bristles  GROSS! and then we go and swirl it on our faces!

I tend to wash them every three weeks or if I feel one needs a more regular wash I will wash inbetween, for example my foundation brush takes a beating and is one of the main brushes so i usually do that every other week. Clean brushes is the key to clean looking makeup.
There are tonnes of makeup removers on the market that you can use and even tutorials on how to but it's really not that complicated!

Firstly, run your brush under Luke warm water with the bristles facing downwards, avoid getting water into the very base of the brush as this is where the glue holds your brush together!

Dispence some of your chosen product into the palm of your hand, about a penny size will do. I'm doing this at work so I can use a deep cleansing shampoo. You can use anything from antibacterial hand soap to your hair shampoo. Some makeup products such as oil based foundations  can be hard to wash out of your brushes , applying Washing up liquid before you dampen your brushes Is great for this as it will loosen that up before you wash it.

Next swirl it in your hand into a nice lather and rinse, repeat this step until the water runs clear. Rinse again under Luke warm water.

When your happy that it's all out, Squeeze off the excess with a paper towel or a towel and leave to dry lying down to allow the water to drain off them!

Et voila!!!

So next time you look at your brushes, give this a go! I can assure you your makeup will go on smoother!!
Do you wash yours? What's your routine? Xxx

Good evening beauty's ♥

I'm SO excited about this one !!!
I wanted to introduce you to this beauty. If you haven't heard of Kiko before,
Kiko Cosmetics, is an Italian professional make-up range. I love the fact that this brand is all about new cutting edge technology and the latest fashion trends. I have only a small selection of make-up to introduce you to, but Kiko offer a large variety of products for all different skin types, a massive array of colours, tones and textures.

This really is a luxury brand, but the most amazing news is: IT IS SUPER CHEAP! So your probably thinking, why is it so cheap!? Just go with me. Put it this way I bought 4 products and it came to £24.90, imagine how much  4 things in MAC would be. I was so excited to try and got bit carried away!!

I bought  a colour sphere eye shadow in shade 04, Golden bronze special FX,this is highly pigmented  even when swatched on your hand and I cannot wait to try it! £5.90!!!

A beautiful luscious cream lipstick in shade 506, Misty rose. This lipstick is super creamy and feels lovely and light on your lip, it also promises to be long lasting, I have had one of these lipsticks before and they have amazing staying power, even when you feel like it's all rubbed off, its still got your back.  A gorgeous super gloss in shade 112, a gorgeous glitzy number,£4.90.  This is an Ultra shiny moisturising gloss that comes in 28 shades, santa please?!

Last but not least ultra tech mascara, I just LOVEE the brush on this mascara it's super fine to coat every single tiny lash. With two types of bristles it promises thickness, fullness, separation and definition! wowzers ! £7.20

A new Fav: Double Wear Foundation

 Hi lovelies,

After hearing lots and lots of great reviews about this foundation, I decided to treat myself to this little beauty, Estee Lauder Double Wear. Wow!! Ive tried numerous foundations including MAC & Bobbi Brown and none have compared to this.

It all started when one of my clients came in and I said WOW what foundation are you wearing? This was it!  For me Foundation isn't something I always wear, I only tend to wear it on Nights out of special occasions, I wear it moron the autumn/winter as i like a fuller coverage compared to Summer. Day to day I wear the Chanel universal powder as a base, although I am willing to spend money on a good foundation for when I want to feel abit more 'done up'.  Foundation can be very hard to get right it can be too dry, too cakey, too matte, too dewy etc. Its often hard to find one thats right for you. However, let me introduce you to this bad boy!

First Impression on this product by the look of it is its very classy, sophisticated and simples. It comes in a royal blue box and the bottle itself is glass which makes it feel expensive with a simple gold lid. The one disadvantage is that it doesn't have a pump, which can make it hard to get to the product when you get half way through. It is £28 which yes is pretty pricey for a foundation but you certainly get what you pay for, you'd have to apply your £12.99 once twice maybe? well worth it.

Next thing is that it doesn't dry your skin out, I see so many girls with foundation on that just screams DRY at me and when a foundation is drying it brings out all your imperfections more than if you weren't wearing makeup! This feels very hydrating on the skin and doesn't dry out at all.

It doesn't MOVE!!
Once this is applied, you can party the night away and it will still be with you. I went out on saturday wearing it and went to the loo at various points as you do and was prepared to titivate but my makeup was perfect!! I have a very oily forehead and there was no shine to be seen at all, either that or I was drunker than I thought I was ! :') Also, A little goes a long way, don't apply too much as it can look cakey when you have added all your other bits and bobs on.

SO,  If you want something that’s full, opaque, lasts the entire day and night, provides the perfect matte base for everything else (contour, blush, highlighter, etc), then this is it. Perfect for oily skin like mine, doesn't stop the oil but keeps it at bay. If you have acne scars, apparently  this is good for you too!

This is like the trusty friend that you know will be there for you when you need it. Wheres the party at?

Have you tried this? What is your favourite foundation?

New Look Pure Colour makeup

 NEW LOOK PURE COLOUR:
Recently I have been trying out some of the makeup from the New Look Pure Colour range.
Here are some reviews on the products I have tried.

Highlighting Stick in shade 93/Pure Gold.
This product is dreamy! You can see from the photo that it is packed with super sparkly pigment. It has a creamy texture and is really easy to use as it on a roller stick. It spreads nicely and you can use it where ever you like! This was £5.99 and worth every penny!

Baked Eyeshadow.

Wow! I really recommend looking at these eyeshadows because even though they didn't have a huge range (only 5 shades) they were all very lovely shades and all wearable for the day or night.Baked for long lasting colour, this product is also super shimmery! It looks amazing on and really brings out your eye colour. You can use this wet or dry to increase the intensity of it. It is £3.99 and I've had mine for a couple of months now, you don't need much as its super shiny!

Lip liner in Dark Purple.

A lip liner for £1.99!!? Yes please! Dare I say it this eyeliner is better than MAC! It has  a soft point for easy application and has such a long lasting colour I only had to reapply a couple of times a day! It also comes of nicely with no staining. The colour is very similar to my MAC burgundy pencil and for £1.99 It's a lot cheaper!

Liquid Eye Liner in Black.

So i needed a new eye liner and thought I would give this one a try. The colour is really intense black which I love as I hate black liquid eyeliners that dry greyish. It is water resistant and stays put all day. It dry's super fast and not once has it gone above my eyelid, you know how it does when you open your eye to early!! girl probs! The brush is slanted for easy application and this one comes in at £3.99. STEAL.

I notice when I go online a lot of the products are sold out, so ID recommend visiting a larger store and seeing if they have the products in store. I'm not surprised its flying off the shelves, its brilliant!  Have you tried any of there products?

Review of Elf baked blush in Peachy Cheeky

Happy Monday everyone!πŸ’•
Is anyone else abit sluggish like me this morning? I couldn't get out of bed this morning πŸ˜”

As always the postman bought me a treat into work to cheer me up a little and today it was Elf's baked blusher in shade 'Peachy Cheeky'. I have admired this for a while and have finally decided to buy it.

ELF stands for Eyes Lips face and there pricing is exrememly reasonable!! This blush cost me £4.50! Pretty good Ey!
E.L.F. is a hit or miss adventure but when you do find a hit it’s like winning the beauty lottery!!!

First of all I don't really think these should be labelled as blushes. The majority of them look more like highlighters and they all have a glowing sheen to them so I don't think they can really work as a blush as it doesn't have enough colour pigment in.

However these are easily some of the best highlighters I own and I have tried alot of highlighters including MAC and Charlotte Tilbury! I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a highlighter shade instead of a blush unless you like your blusher without any depth!

I look forward to trying the other shades in this range πŸ˜„

All in all They have done a good job with these Baked Blushes and they should fit your needs if you don’t have the money to shell out for a MAC Mineralize Skin-finish.
Here is a swatch on the back of my hand of the colour, you can see here it's quite shimmery.

Have you tried any elf? What have you hit the beauty jackpot with?
