Miss guided outfit

Hey beauty's! Hope you're all ok!❤️ Just a quick post about my outfit from the weekend! I went to a wedding and the weather was lovely so I didn't want anything to heavy as I knew I would be dancing the night away.

After trying endless options on I decided on this Miss Guided combo...

The skirt

My skirt is a midi length faux leather skirt that I've had for a while. It's such a classic piece that can be worn in so many different ways such as with flats and a jumper, heels and a crop top, with a long sleeved top and a pretty pair of sandles, whatever floats your boat! The skirt is £30 which to me is quite a lot but it really is worth it. I can't find the link to his colour as it has been quite a while since I bought this skirt although I have linked the link for the same skirt in 'camel'.

The top

This is also from miss guided. I bought this top a while ago and I haven't been brave enough to wear it all that much as it's quite 'revealing'. This is the Eyelash bralet in black from www.missguided.com. The zip is abit funky as it's upside down! At first I was very confused by the zip but then I realised that it was so someone can't come up behind you and just undo it and show you off to the world! Thanks MG. The detailing on the front is so pretty, the top fits nicely on your skin and it looks so feminine. This top retails at £15.00 which is an absolute steal. This can also be worn in many ways at any occasion, such as with leggings, ripped jeans, a mini skirt or high waisted flair trousers

Shoes

My shoes are from New Look, I can't find them on the website but they were a steal at £10 in the sale a few weeks back. I usually find this style of shoe really uncomfortable but these ones seem to agree with me which is great.

Accessories

I teamed this outfit with my silver Michael Kors watch, a see-through black clutch bag and a nude glossy lip.

Springtime

Hello lovelies!
hope you're all having a good week,
It's getting warm in the UK, can you believe it! I'm scared to  write about the warmer weather incase it changes! It's time to ditch the heavy foundation and reach for a lighter, more natural looking foundation. I love the BB and CC creams they sell. Something like this is perfect.

The one thing I must share with you which is AMAZING is 'Garnier Body Summer body moisturising lotion'. I use this every morning and it really gives you a summer glow. The one problem people have with gradual tanners is the streaks that develop after a few hours but with this, there is none. It also doesn't wash off in the shower which is such a problem with most tans. Grab it while you can as it's half price at the moment - just £2.64! GO GO GO, I really do recommend it.

I've used 'Maybelline Dream Fresh BB cream' which I have linked here. This product is perfect to even out your skin colour and cover what you need to cover without it looking 'caked'. It runs quite light so i would suggest you getting a shade darker than you need.
For your lips, I love 'Maybelline Baby lips lip balm'. Not only is it very pretty packaging but it really works! The colour is build able, so you can have as much on as you like. It keeps your lips very smooth and silky throughout the day. I have tried the  EOS lip balms and I'm not to keen on that to be honest, it's almost like toothpaste! well the one i had smelt like it anyway :')

On my nails, I am resisting having my comfortable shades of red, black or french manicure and I'm going brighter and fresher. I had mine done today and I've gone for white. I love them! I've never had white before as I thought they looked like tippex but I really do like them! I can't paint them myself because I hate waiting for them to dry so I have to get them done as whenever I try to do them myself they smudge all over the shop.

My spring perfume has to be 'Chloe'. It's so fresh and floral. It's very light but also lasts all day. Perfect. It even smells expensive (which it is!)

My favourite spring accessory has to be my Michael Kors watch, it goes everywhere with me, I had a rose gold one and I lost it in the gym. I was devastated :( So i treated myself to a new silver one and I don't let it out of my sight.

What are your spring favourites? let me know below xx

Silver Shampoo

SILVER SHAMPOO

Here is a small post about silver shampoos. Many blondes can benefit from using this. So i thought i'd share with you my review on this particular one.

Touch of silver Daily maintenance shampoo is my fav for brightening blonde, white or platinum hair. This sensational shampoo brightens and enhances silver tones. Resulting in fresh, health and great looking hair! I have tried a few silver shampoos now including Bleach London, Paul Mitchell and now this one and I must say this is my favourite one. It smells lovely and really makes your hair feel clean after using it. I use this once or twice a week on the ends of my hair as it is slightly lighter than my roots. It really works for me and takes the orange tones out of my hair.

I know clients that struggle to keep their highlighted hair the same colour in the weeks following an appointment as it is when they leave the salon. After a few weeks  hair can become dull, brassy, yellowy blonde. Something that none of us blondes / ombres want. This Shampoo is great for highlights, ombres and full head blondes.
I am reviewing  PRO:VOKE Touch of Silver, Twice a Week Brightening Shampoo because it was a bargain at just £3.00. A lot of the other purple shampoos are quite expensive, starting at £10.
This shampoo is also great if you home dye your hair (which I don't recommend) and your hair is  slightly gingery or yellow. After a few washes your hair will be brighter and fresher.
Usage:
  • Use the shampoo on every other wash. This shampoo can dry out your hair if used too much.
  • Leave the shampoo on your hair for a few minutes. Do not leave it in for too long as your hair may turn white or even get lilac-y tinge (unless you want this look!)
  • Use a good conditioner afterwards, your hair can become dry with this treatment so this will help help prevent it.
I also have the conditioner to this shampoo which is great as you can use either and leave both on.

You can get this from most stores including Sainsburys and boots

Have you used it? Let me know how you got on!

My new sandals ❤️

So today I quickly ran into Primark and came out with these babies! They are so comfy! I struggle to find comfy shoes but these are like slippers, they are wide fit to which is great as I also have paddle feet! Hahaa. They were £10 which for primark I was surprised by utters erector pretty to walk away from. Especisally as it's Primark, you can go back the next day and they're all gone! The details gorgeous and so shiny when the light catches them. I thought I'd share these as I was about to buy some from River Island that were £35.00 the link for them are here and there is a picture of them below mine.http://www.riverisland.com/women/shoes--boots/sandals/Silver-gemstone-embellished-sandals-662289?sem=1&cmpid=PLA&istCompanyId=28d3cba5-6749-43eb-904c-61b8cc01cf80&istItemId=imtwmitxm&istBid=tzil&gclid=CjwKEAjw3sKpBRDJ7rDqzsyuhDASJACZAikimuZ7l-rgVIXNf5GmXnJTwHQtjLVK1GCTiTUdPIY0sRoCDp7w_wcB So I thought they were a great alternative and pretty similar! Happy shopping! Xxx

In my bag

hi guys hope your all okay, I thought i'd do a quick blog on what I carry around with me each day in my bag!

So the first thing that goes in my bag is my purse,I have quite a big purse with way too many cards in there, I clean it out all the time but i always seem to accumulate more.

Second is my phone, of course, my third arm. I feel so lost without it. I honestly don't know how people coped without one. Oh and of course, my charger!

Next is my makeup bag, i go nowhere with that! You can read what is in there on my previous post. I have linked it here.

Soap and Glory Anti bacterial hand gel, love this stuff! I hate the thought of germs, so this is great when your not by a toilet. Smells  lushhhhh.

There's usually a Twirl in my bag, my favourite chocolate bar, I'm  a little obsessed with these.

A £5note, In my side pocket for if i am ever stuck somewhere or desperate for something, I've had to replace this a few times. It's a life saver!

A vitamin Water lip balm, I love these, had this one for ages they last for a very long time, smells delicious too!

blue mirrored aviators! I loveee these i saw them on someone and i just thought to myself i must have those. I got mine from eBay for like £2! I've linked it here.

Michael Kors Sexy Amber perfume. I had this perfume for christmas and it's still going strong! It's such a lovely scent and I'm forever getting compliments when i wear it. It also lasts quite a while which is rare for perfumes as I find they fade very quickly.

My Favourite key ring! The fluffy pom pom! I had this from ebay too but unfortunately i can't find the link, I'm sure you could find it if you typed it in! It's so cute and it also helps you to find your keys when your in a rush as it's so big you can't miss it!

a weird one now, Plasters!! In my job I'm constantly cutting my self and taking nice chunks out my knuckles. So these are always good to carry around with me as I get through so many.

My iPad❤️ I Have the IPad mini 2, I love the mini as it's the perfect size to carry around with you in your bag.

Thanks for reading make sure you follow me on bloglovin and tell me whats in your bags on the comments section! xxx

Soft and Gentle.

MAC SOFT AND GENTLE.

This is a luxuriously soft  mineral powder with a shiny metallic finish.
The shade i chose was 'Soft and gentle'.
Now this looks dark in the pot and you think 'uh oh!' , this isn't going to highlight, but when you apply it it's completely different.
When the light hits this product it looks lovely. SO shiny. It shows off a range of colours from cream, pink, beige and orange.
I like to apply this to cheeks, brows and  down the centre of you nose with a small contouring brush.
Although this product does retail at £23.00, it really does last, I've  had mine a few months now and there isn't even a dent in it! The product itself is quite large and you don't need much of it, so it will last you forever.

This product comes in many shades:

Lighscapade

Soft and gentle

Global glow

Cheeky bronze

Gold deposit

I will defo be buying more of these as they are so gorgeous and really add a glow to your face. I think they can be hard to get hold of inshore as they sell out pretty quickly!
You can buy this product here <3

Have you used this? or any of the other shades? I'd love to know how you got on. comment below or

Sleek eyeshadow pallette review

hi guys!-hope you've all had a fabulous easter!I've bought a new eyeshadow palette by 'Sleek'.
All the colours look amazing! I'm going to do a quick review on a look i did with this pallete.
The palette i chose is called I- divine in 'original'. Recently  I have seen a lot of eyeshadows that are sort of coppery, my favourite is the Charlotte Tilbury's ' Dolce Vita'.  I love it, but it's rather pricey! I think it's £38 for the four eyeshadows, think i better save up :') . You can buy it here.

onto the review...

So  I was browsing in the 'Sleek' section in Boots  the other day when I stumbled across this palette.  I  have used their contouring kit for a number of years  so i had already used there products and i've always been impressed. There was  quite a few to chose from, I think ill be going back to get more and more haha. These retail at £7.99, not back considering you get 12 shades.  I picked this one as it ranges from rose golds, to green and blue. Described as "12 shades of super-pigmented, longlasting, mineral based eyeshadow, designed to suit all" I thought this would be the most versatile to try first.  I think i was also drawn to the shiny-ness of them all <3

Back row L-R: Black Cab, Royal, London Rain, The Thames, E10, Hyde Park
Front Row L-R: Cream Tea, London Eye, Big Ben, Penny Farthing, Sterling, Banksy
  • First I prepped my eyelids with an eyelid primer.  I used French Connections 'eyeshadow primer'. I got this in a christmas eye perfection set one year and its amazing.
  • Next i used a cream matte eyeshadow all over my lids. I think it was just a no7 one i have at home, sorry not sure which!
  •  I then used the colour 'cream tea' all over my lids & took it up to my brow bone. This created a nice creamy base for me to work with.
  • Next i used 'big ben' on the crease of my eyelids- creating a glittery golden base.
  • I then used the shade 'penny farthing' on the corners of my eyes and along my brow bone, this colour is gorgeous and really makes your eyes 'pop'.
  • I then lined my bottom lash line with black liner.
Overall this look is so natural and can be worn day or night, with or without eye liner.

Overall rating 5/5
This eyeshadow stayed on all day and was still shining when i was taking it off, usually shimmery shades only last a few hours on me.

So there you have it! If you haven't tried Sleek makeup before I hope this post encourages you to do so, they have some lovely things!

What do you think of the Sleek Pallette's?  xxx

Top Hair tips!

  1.  If possible,Try to wash your hair everyday, think how dirty your face gets each day and your hair goes wherever your face goes!
  2.   Give your head a (mini massage) for two minutes daily, this increases the blood flow which = healthy hair.
  3. rubbing your hair with a towel is the most damaging thing you can do! Try to pat it dry and squeeze the excess water out. Yep that's it girls, pat and squeeze!
  4. On wet hair, ease out the knots with a wide toothed comb, starting from the bottom.
  5. Use deep conditioning treatments at least once a week to keep your hair looking and feeling fresh.
  6. To save time, blast your hair off to about 90% dry and then use a brush for the last 10% to smooth.
  7. Tangle teezers are a great alternative to combs. They are 100% pain free! yay!take a look here
  8. Scrunch hair with moose. I love Umberto Gianni's 'Massive Mousse'. Twist your hair up when it's still hot from drying, secure in a bobble and leave for as long as possible = Effortless waves!
  9. Coconut oil is amazing for hair and face! Boots have a gorgeous 'Ingredients' range. I love they're  Leave in Conditioner & Intensive Hair Mask. They're usually on their fantastic 3 for 2 offer so you can save the pennies!
10.Only condition your ends and 3\4 of the way down, steer clear of the roots so that it doesn't look greasy.

5 QUICK BEAUTY TIPS ♥

5 QUICK BEAUTY HACKS:

small tips that will make a HUGE difference to your face

Heat your eyelash curlers-Doing this will help your lashes to curl easier and stay for longer. Blast them with the hairdryer wait until it cools a bit so you don't burn your eyelashes and voila!

Dust translucent powder over your mascara-To make your eyelashes longer- When applying a few coats of mascara, in-between dust on some powder to elongate your eyelashes.

Powder sets your lipstick!- Prep your lips and Apply your Lippy. Next, apply a tissue to your lips. Dust over the tissue with a loose powder for a longer lasting lippy, you won't be removing colour, just setting it in. Then apply a second layer for that glossy finish.

Perfect your cupids bow- with a X marks the spot. To make your cupid's bow pop out, the easiest way to get that perfect shape is to draw a small X on the top of your top lip so that you know where to work to.

Conceal bags with a triangle- When disguising dark under eye circles apply your concealer in a traingular shape from your lower lash line downwards Most of us cover up the actual bag itself which intact makes it more noticable! This method gives you the illusion that your eyes are brighter.
